What Are the Good Ole Boys So Darn Scared About?

June 2, 2010 in Opinions

FAIR WARNING -MY COMMENTARY BELOW MAY CAUSE SOME UPSET TO SOME PEOPLE. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Times is changing, times is changing. First, women were given a miracle called “The Pill,” then they got a legal ruling that gave them control over their own bodies instead of being forced to uphold someone else’s wishes, then they (women) started working outside the home, and had the gall to start making almost as much money as men, Finally, the icing on the cake was that a lot of these good ole boys found themsevles working for good ole girl bosses.

All of these changes have been stressful for men, in my opinion, although I don’t think many have the nerve to admit just how upsetting these turns of events were. For all the bravado, some men still can’t confront the fear that’s in front of their noses. But, to their credit, the good ole boys have at least seemlingly adjusted now, chalking everything up to a necessity because of bad government forcing all their fair and inferior counterparts (women) out into the cold world in order to help make ends meet. But, when it came right down to it, men could also take comfort that women aided and abetted their feelings of stature and superiority so as to make them feel they were still kings of the hill.

Then came Obama. Half black and half white. In the south, as in so many other regions, when black and white are mixed the preferred race designation is black.  So, for my purposes here I will refer to Obama as black. This is proving to be too much. Whereas it was relatively simple and  uncomplicated to convince women that they (good ole boys) were still the superior beings on the face of the earth, it’s a lot more difficult having to complete with someone like Barack Obama, black, well-educated, articulate, brilliant and with a vision. Main thing though is the black part.

This I believe is the reason behind all the vicious attacks and name calling against Pres. Obama. There are never specific criticisms against the president….all are vague, with n o credible supporting documentation. I’ve asked many times for specifics and have always received no answer or an answer akin to you’ve not getting anymore than I told you.

Knowing that I am an Obama supporter, I wonder why it is people think they can convince me to see their side when the only feedback I get are indignant replies questioning my right too ask questions.
